Adina Apartment Hotel FrankfurtFrankfurt Germany
Drawing on the bustle of Frankfurt’s business district, the palette and materiality echo place, while decorative elements provide a rich and relaxing backdrop for the Adina’s largely corporate clientele. As both a business and family vacation destination it was important that both elements be represented in the design. This has been delivered through the layered textures and tonal shifts of natural timber, stone, linen and the sumptuous addition of fine suiting fabric used as upholstery.
Shimmering walls of copper and timber create a rich ambiance for the public areas. Colour and form are abundant with jewel-like inclusions such as the Pols Poten stools in bright emerald and blue gradient balanced beautifully with the caramel leather of the amazing De Sede sofa and custom day beds.
The use of a fabric design of abstract spots in muted shades of olive, forest and mustard sums up this duality. Yet, what makes the whole sing is the beautiful layering of materiality, colour and form that coalesce into truly splendorous spaces.
