Urban Designer

The SJB Urban team in Sydney is growing.  We're seeking experienced Urban Designers to take a senior role on significant urban design and masterplanning projects. 

SJB Urban has an autonomous studio feel while enjoying all the benefits of being part of a major multidisciplinary design firm.  We offer a variety of work including precinct design, masterplanning, policy development, concept design, research and design competitions.  Within these projects you'll have the opportunity to push the boundaries of urban design, integrating research and technology to deliver great urban design outcomes.

We value different perspectives and strive to develop innovative new ways of practice.  Particular skills and experience we're interested in include:

· Urban Design, Planning or Architectural qualifications

· Experience in government or private sector. 

· Strong written and face-to-face communication skills

· Ability manage subconsultants and clients. 

· Problem-solving mindset and the ability to think creatively, critically and
strategically.

Senior Town Planner

SJB Planning (NSW) is an established planning firm based in Surry Hills, Sydney. We are seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join our team.

SJB planning has a diverse client base and provides a broad range of planning services.

This is an excellent opportunity to further a career for an experienced and motivated planner interested in working in a busy private consultancy practice.

Applicants must be:

· Qualified in Planning or related disciplines.

· Experienced in statutory and strategic processes and assessment of
  Development Applications.

· Experienced in preparing strategic planning documents.

· Ability to convey complex issues in a concise manner.

· Sound judgement and good interpersonal skills.

· Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.

· Motivated to achieve and take on leadership roles.

Experience in Local and State Government planning is also desirable.

3D Architectural Visualiser

Creative ownership of your visualisations from start to finish.

SJB is the opposite of a production-line environment.  Enjoy artistic freedom and control of your work from zero to finish.  Join a small but dynamic team within a large design-led architectural practice in Sydney's Surry Hills.  The team enjoys creative licence on many images produced, so this role would suit someone with an eye for design.  We use 3DS Max, Cinema 4D and Vray.

The role will involve production of exterior and interior images, aerial shots and high-end luxury marketing images.  There is also opportunity to work on animations, 360 images and RealTime VR production.  VR and UnReal Engine experience would be highly regarded.

SJB Architects' Sydney studio is growing. We have opportunities for experienced project architects to join our team to take senior roles on high-end projects including large and small scale residential, hotels, commercial and adaptive re-use.   

This is a great opportunity for you to join a multi award-winning studio with a great culture and work on prestigious, design-led projects. 

We will tailor a role to suit an individual's experience and aspirations, however skills we're particularly interested in are: 

·         Technical detailing and construction knowledge 

·         Consultant coordination 

·         Coordination of construction drawings 

·         Site experience 

·         Ability to understand design intent and carry through to documentation 

·         Experience in a client-facing role 

·         High proficiency in Revit.
